Rationale

At the start of Sydney’s March lockdown I was determined not to create any Covid related art. Extremely determined. I went grocery shopping, Coles played Lauper’s 'Girls Just Want To Have Fun’ (for the 10th time in 2 weeks) to a backdrop of people trying to maintain social distance, in masks, while picking out roast chicken and avoiding the cops in the carpark telling everyone to stop loitering as grocery shopping was not a social event. I got home, crashed on my sofa wondering what the hell just hit me, then started laughing uncontrollably and painted the day, 7th April, 11 a.m, Sydney - Girls just want to have fun. This piece can be displayed Landscape or Portrait (much like a pandemic).
